Erica Kapaya is a contemporary visual artist born in 1998 in Kabwe, now based in Lusaka, Zambia. Her artistic journey is deeply rooted in personal self-discovery. Growing up, she struggled to connect with others but her passion for art became a catalyst for growth and meaningful relationships. Through her creative expression, Erica has come to understand that many people grapple with connecting to themselves, which significantly affects their self-image and perspective. This insight fuels her work, as she views art as a powerful medium for fostering connections and empowering those who often feel unheard.
